There is an internal system of evaluation under which home assignments are given, surprise tests are conducted and examinations are held at regular intervals during a semester. A final exam is held at the end of the semester.

Examination Policy
Minimum GPA required for the award of a degree on a 4
point scale is:
2.0
For a Bachelor's degree
2.5
For a Master's degree
Students who perform below the required
grade
point average
will
be
put on probation and given less work load during
the
next
semester. Two consecutive probations would automatically
lead to cancellation of admission.
A
student may drop a subject latest by a week before
the start of the final examination.
80%
attendance is required to appear in the final
examination.
For
academic performance/evaluation of students, there will
be:
Two
mid-term exams, each carrying 20% marks i.e. a total
of 40%.
Result of mid-term examinations would be discussed
with e students and marks disclosed to them, whereas
the score of e final examination will not be
disclosed; instead a letter grade only for the entire
semester will be announced by the controller of
examinations.
A
student may be allowed to improve her grade in a
particular subject whenever
that subject is offered and is so advised by the student
adviser
Semester result will be displayed on the
Institute’s notice board after a week of the final exam.
